The APC Easy UPS SMV 1000VA is a line interactive tower UPS from Schneider Electric, built to protect equipment in places where mains power is unstable. It delivers up to 700W with a pure sine wave on battery, so sensitive electronics run on power that resembles the utility supply.

Automatic Voltage Regulation boosts low voltage and trims high voltage without draining the battery, and the unit can be set up for generator use. A sheet-metal housing protects the internals, and a battery connector lets the battery be disconnected for transport.

The front LCD shows operating mode, battery and load level, and input and output voltage. 4 Universal outlets provide battery backup with surge protection, and USB and RS-232 ports allow monitoring and management from a computer.
