Need this exact model?
The FC311B-2 is an Omada Gigabit media converter that bridges copper Ethernet (RJ45) and optical fibre, extending a network up to 2 km, for example between two buildings, to remote CCTV cameras or to factory equipment. (TP-Link lists this model as end of production.)
It uses WDM to send and receive over a single single-mode fibre (9/125 µm, SC connector), transmitting at 1310 nm and receiving at 1550 nm, so the far end needs the opposite-wavelength model, the FC311A-2. The RJ45 port runs at 10/100/1000 Mbps with Auto-MDI/MDIX.
It runs from an external power adapter and has PWR and Link/Act LEDs. The box contains the converter, power adapter and installation guide.
